Legacy Giving & The 1947 Legacy Society

Legacy or planned giving is a non-traditional way of making a gift to Walsingham Academy, while taking advantage of special tax-wise benefits. Walsingham’s 1947 Legacy Society was established to honor those who have taken the extraordinary steps to create trusts, bequests, or other legacy gifts to benefit Walsingham Academy. Methods are varied and may include life insurance, bequests, retirement plan assets, real estate, charitable lead trusts, and charitable remainder trusts.

Membership in the 1947 Legacy Society is an attestation to a donor’s belief in the importance of the Mercy tradition of educating, enriching, and empowering students for generations to come.
